Completion of a City employment application is required. A separate application is required for each position. A résumé may be included with the employment application but cannot be used in place of a City employment application.

Applications must be received by the closing date of the posting to be considered for the advertised position.

Recreation Aides - Parks & Recreation

These are temporary seasonal summer camp positions and are exempt from Veterans Preference.  Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age, and have some related experience in working with children in a recreational atmosphere.  Ability to work effectively with children.  Knowledge of a variety of recreational activities and the rules and regulations governing the play of these games. Certification in Adult/Child CPR and Standard First Aid preferred. Assists a supervisor in monitoring participants of a summer camp program including playground, field trips or recreation center activities, and distributes equipment for games and activities.  Must pass a Level II background check.
